Wow, we're having quite a thunderstorm right now. I rarely see or hear much in the way of lightning and thunder in Japan, but it's making a pretty good effort tonight. Still not really at the level of a good Midwest US thunderstorm, but it's one of the loudest I've experienced in Japan.
My lights have flickered occasionally; I really hope the power doesn't go out.

I have to say I missed the T-storms too!
I vividly remember there was a heat-lightening storm two summers ago while I was in Japan. I remember being SO geeked by it that I ran to the combini, bought some beer, took a hot shower (it was still summer) and sat drinking on my balcony and hooting at the display. I think all my neighbors had thought I'd gone off the deep end.
